Born in Indonesia in 1983, Desrat Fianda is an artist who graduated from the Indonesian Institute of Art in Yogyakarta. His artistic practice, primarily focused on installations and paintings, delves into critical aesthetic values by reconstructing the fundamental principles of the media employed. Desrat Fianda has gained recognition for his innovative approach to art, earning the distinction of being an Award Winner in the Art Competition held at Tujuh Bintang Art Space, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2009. Additionally, he achieved the status of Finalist in the United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOB) Painting of the Year competition.
