Artists bio:

Arbi Rangkito, born on July 2, 1994, in Dusun Tangah, West Sumatra, is an accomplished artist currently residing and creating in Yogyakarta. He is a graduate of the Fine Arts Faculty at ISI Yogyakarta, where he honed his artistic talents and deepened his understanding of the visual arts. Arbi’s commitment to artistic excellence and creative expression has been recognised on a national level. In 2017, he was a finalist in the prestigious Indonesia UOB Painting of The Year competition. This notable achievement showcases Arbi’s dedication to his craft and significant contributions to contemporary art. With a promising career ahead, Arbi Rangkito continues to captivate audiences with his distinctive artistic vision and talent.

Artist statement:

When viewers engage with my artwork, my intention is for them to discover a personal resonance, seeing their own life experiences reflected in the abstract forms I create. I aim to provide art enthusiasts with a unique perspective that may diverge from my original intent. Through the innocence and simplicity in my artistic compositions, viewers are encouraged to reflect upon their own histories and interpret my pieces in alignment with their personal encounters and emotions.
